Amplitude Indicator - what is it?

This indicator was developed by Charlie, in the MODUS System Builder Course.

The Amplitude indicator reflects the result of the effects of two variables, price movement and market volatility.

The indicator has many potential uses but in the System Builder Course it is used to avoid entering markets in which prices are moving too rapidly.

This is because Charlie demonstrates that using his chosen system (the TMAC) trades that are opened at times of ‘over vigorous’ price movement perform less well.

By using the Amplitude indicator as a filter, he is able to improve results.
